What’s this all about, anyway?
From experience, we know that many paid-for seats are empty for each Nashville SC match. Often times, it’s not possible to recoup the face value of those tickets on the resale market. Even if it is – we exist to promote a meaningful use of those seats that would make more of an impact than the money earned from their sale. Imagine a child, having never been a major sporting event, glowing with excitement as the Backline leads the crowd in chants, the smoke bellows throughout the stadium, and the sights and sounds of the atmosphere give them a lifelong memory. For some of these kids, it might be a once in a lifetime opportunity. THIS is a meaningful use of unused tickets!
Who is eligible to receive tickets?
We typically prefer to offer ticket to kids that aren’t afforded the opportunity to attend a match. However, we also are willing to work with families facing any type of hardship – medical, financial, trauma, or otherwise. If you have someone specific in mind, please email tickets@kidsinthecastle.com.
Will every ticket be distributed?
We will do everything in our power to be sure that every ticket finds a home. However, there are some situations where we may not be able to place the tickets. In these situations, we will contact you to offer the ticket back to you. If you would rather us not return your tickets – we will either attempt to sell it to put money in a general fund to support our operations, or give the money to kids that receive other tickets for merchandise, concessions, and more. However, NO ticket will EVER be sold without your consent for this very specific purpose, and it’s not our preference to do this.
How does Kids In The Castle distribute donated tickets?
We reach out to local organizations that support youth in the Nashville community and offer them to the families they work with. As this list of organizations grows, we will list them on our website.
I work for a local you organization. Can I request tickets?
Absolutely! Please email tickets@kidsinthecastle.com with your name, organization, organization website, and number of tickets you need. If you don’t need a specific number of tickets but want to be on our list of organizations to reach out to, we will add you.
Where do I send my tickets?
You may transfer your Nashville SC tickets to tickets@kidsinthecastle.com.
How do I know where they were transferred?
We keep receipts of every incoming and outgoing transfer; we may also connect you with the organization that received the tickets at your request.
I only have one ticket. Do you still want it?
Absolutely! When we can’t put the tickets in the hands of a kid, we will offer it to the adults that work with them as a thank you for their service to the community.
Is my donation tax deductible?
We are simply a connector of tickets and kids. We, at this time, do not have non-profit status and therefore your donation is not tax deductible.
I don’t have tickets. Can you accept money?
The short answer is yes! As you know, getting the full experience involves concessions, merch, and more. While we can’t provide this for every kid, we will gladly distribute donations to them. Contact tickets@kidsinthecastle.com to make arrangements. Our operations are currently funded by our founder, and we don’t have a need for financial support at this time.
Do you have any volunteer opportunities?
Right now we are seeking help for networking with local youth organizations. If you know of a contact at an organization that serves children in the Nashville area, please contact us!
